Apollo MX20 ChartView
Installation Guide
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the ChartView system.
The ChartView system consists of different components supplied by various vendors that allow you to
transfer current Jeppesen Approach Plate data on to the MX20 Compact Flash card for use in the MX20
Multi-Function Display.
· The JeppView Data Disk is issued every 14 days and contains digital terminal charts (approach,
arrival, departure, airport and Class ‘B’ airspace) and the JeppView viewer application.
· The JeppView Data Loader software allows you to download the desired charts from the
JeppView Data Disc to the MX20 ChartView Compact Flash card. The Compact Flash card is then
carried to the aircraft and inserted into the Apollo MX20 where the charts can be viewed during
flight. This cycle can be repeated as many times as desired to maintain current terminal charts on
the MX20.
This installation procedure will walk you through installing the system and provide an understanding of
some of the subtleties of correctly loading data. In each case, additional instructions are provided by each
manufacturer for the corresponding component being installed and should be referenced before any specific
installation step.
Summary of Installation:
1) Install Sandisk USB Compact Flash data card writer product on your PC.
2) Install Jeppesen JeppView product and associated Jeppesen coverage license on your PC.
3) Install Jeppesen JeppView Data Loader product and associated license on your PC.
4) Install MX20 ChartView Compact Flash into aircraft.
